Featherweights Mike Trizano and Chas Skelly will square off in October.

Trizano (9-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) meets Skelly (18-3-1 MMA, 7-3-1 UFC) at UFC Fight Night on Oct. 9 a location and venue to be announced.

Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous since the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. MMA DNA was first to report the booking.

Season 27 “Ultimate Fighter” winner Trizano has split his first two appearances since dropping back down to 145 pounds. After enduring his first-career loss to Grant Dawson, Trizano rebounded with a unanimous decision win over Ludovit Klein at UFC on ESPN 24 in May.

Skelly hasn’t competed since defeating Jordan Griffin in September 2019. He was scheduled to face Jamall Emmers at UFC Fight Night 185 in February, but after making his walk to the octagon, the bout was canceled when Emmers suffered back spasms backstage and was unable to compete.
