A pair of welterweights with a penchant for exciting fights will clash in October.

Alex Oliveira and Niko Price have agreed to meet at UFC Fight Night 192, MMA Junkie today learned from two people with knowledge of the booking who asked to remain anonymous because the promotion has yet to make a formal announcement.

UFC Fight Night 192 is scheduled for Oct. 2 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card streams live on ESPN+.

“Cowboy” Oliveira (22-10-1 MMA, 11-8-1 UFC) finds himself in need of a win after suffering back-to-back losses to Randy Brown and Shavkat Rakhmonov. Prior to the setbacks, Oliveira had enjoyed a two-fight winning streak that included victories over Peter Sobotta and Max Griffin.

Meanwhile, Price (14-5 MMA, 6-5-1 UFC) also hopes to return to the win column following two consecutive losses – at least officially. In July, Price dropped a unanimous decision to Michel Pereira, while he also suffered a third-round TKO loss to Vicente Luque in May 2020. In between, Price fought to a majority draw with Donald Cerrone, though that result was later overturned to a no contest when “The Hybrid” tested positive for THC metabolites.

With the addition to the card, UFC Fight Night 192 includes:

Thiago Santos vs. Johnny Walker
Bethe Correia vs. Karol Rosa
Jared Gordon vs. Joe Solecki
Grant Dawson vs. Diego Ferreira
Fernando Padilla vs. Sean Soriano
Gaetano Pirrello vs. Douglas Silva de Andrade
Kyle Daukaus vs. Kevin Holland
Jimmy Crute vs. Jamahal Hill
Jamie Mullarkey vs. Devonte Smith
Macy Chiasson vs. Aspen Ladd
Johnny Eduardo vs. Alejandro Perez
Alexander Hernandez vs. Leonardo Santos
Misha Cirkunov vs. Krzysztof Jotko
Alex Oliveira vs. Niko Price
