Max Holloway shattered all kinds of records when he faced Calvin Kattar at UFC on ABC 1 this past January.
Looking to rebound from back-to-back title fight losses to featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, Holloway proved that he’s still in top form when he battered Kattar over the course of 25 minutes.
Holloway got off to a hot start, mixing things up to the body and head. Kattar fired back, but Holloway’s foot was on the gas pedal from the get-go, and he never allowed Kattar to get into his rhythm. The former champion continued to pour on the pressure, overwhelming Kattar with his volume.
With his face showing significant damage midway through Round 3, Kattar was surviving on pure heart as Holloway unleashed a barrage of punches against the fence. Referee Herb Dean let Kattar continue fighting, who swung back as much as he could. Remarkably, Kattar made it off the stool for Round 5, but it was all Holloway once again, who ended up landing a single-fight UFC record 445 significant strikes.

“I’m the best boxer!” Holloway shouted in Round 5. After that performance, few could argue.
