The UFC is back in its regular home base this week with a former title challenger atop the card.

UFC Fight Night 193 takes place Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card streams on ESPN+.

(Click here to open a PDF of the staff picks grid in a separate window.)

In the main event, former light heavyweight title challenger Thiago Santos (21-9 MMA, 13-8 UFC) takes on Johnny Walker (18-5 MMA, 4-2 UFC). Santos is a -165 favorite at Tipico; the comeback on Walker is +130. Santos has a fairly sizable edge in the picks from our 13 editors, writers, radio hosts and videographers, as well, at 10-3.

In the co-feature, Kyle Daukaus (10-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) meets Kevin Holland (21-7 MMA, 8-4 UFC) in a middleweight bout. Holland is a -175 favorite and has a big 11-2 lead in the picks from our staff members.

Also on the main card, Alex Oliveira (22-10-1 MMA, 11-8 UFC) takes on Niko Price (14-5 MMA, 6-5 UFC) at welterweight. Price is a -180 favorite and a near-unanimous pick at 12-1.

Our most contentious fight on the main card is at middleweight between Misha Cirkunov (15-6 MMA, 6-4 UFC) and Krzysztof Jotko (22-5 MMA, 9-5 UFC). Jotko is the -155 favorite, but it’s Cirkunov with the slightest possible edge in the picks at 7-6.

“Ultimate Fighter” winner Macy Chiasson (7-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) takes on Aspen Ladd (9-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) in a women’s bantamweight bout. Ladd is the second biggest favorite on the main card at -280 and has a 10-3 blowout in the picks.

And to open the main card, Alexander Hernandez (12-4 MMA, 4-3 UFC) is our lone unanimous pick at lightweight against short-notice replacement opponent Mike Breeden (10-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC). Hernandez is the biggest favorite on the card at 6-1 and has a 13-0 shutout in the picks.

In the MMA Junkie reader consensus picks, Santos (68 percent), Holland (79 percent), Price (77 percent), Cirkunov (53 percent), Ladd (78 percent) and Hernandez (81 percent) are the choices.
