Mayra Bueno Silva thinks the hype around Manon Fiorot is valid, but she intends to shut it down at UFC Fight Night 195.

Silva (7-1-1 MMA, 2-1-1 UFC) is set to meet Fiorot (7-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) in a women’s flyweight bout on Saturday’s main card at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card streams on ESPN+

Despite just two UFC appearances, Fiorot is already being touted as a future title contender at 125 pounds. She’s earned both of her octagon victories by knockout and will surely look to do that again.

Silva is aware of the threat her opponent presents and thinks Fiorot is worthy of the attention she’s getting. However, when it comes to stepping in the cage, she plans to create a different result.

“I believe that she is a very good fighter, and she deserves this hype,” Silva told MMA Junkie and other reporters through an interpreter at Wednesday’s UFC Fight Night 195 media day. “I believe that we are fighters, and we are here to do our best, and she is doing her best all the time.”
