LAS VEGAS – Gadzhi Omargadzhiev isn’t looking to waste any time after securing a UFC deal at Dana White’s Contender Series 45 on Tuesday.

Omargadzhiev (13-0) made quick work of Jansey Silva when he submitted him with a kneebar in the first round, and the unbeaten prospect now wants to test himself against the top contenders in the division.

“I’m very happy and very glad I accomplished this goal,” Omargadzhiev said through a translator during the DWCS 45 post-fight news conference. “This is very important for me, and my next goal is to start hunting the top in my division.”

He continued, “I feel I need to do a couple more fights and then we’ll figure it out, and then I will look forward and move myself on that step. … I’m ready to fight in about a month, and I have to fight with the best fighters – this is the only way how I can grow in my career. I have no specific name, but I would like to challenge the best.”
